Ione Rucquoi is a South Devon artist who pushes the boundaries with her artwork. I visited her at her cluttered studio to get a better idea of the personality behind the art, for an in-depth interview published in a local paper.
"A box of egg shells, prosthetics, stuffed animals, costumes and various props litter the floor of her studio. Masks, a few wigs, an ugly doll, shells and netting clutter up the window sill. Worn-out, grey/white dresses with frills hang at the side of the room as if taken from the wardrobe of Charles Dickens’ jilted and mothballed
character Miss Haversham."
