I was sub-contracted by Coast Communications to work on a report published by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) into the state of water in the South West. My job was to write the report, source case studies, quotes and photographs. This involved using minutes from meetings, interviewing water experts from universities, the Environment Agency and water companies.
There is a common misconception that the UK has an abundance of water, but the reality is that we have less rainfall per person than in some parts of Africa. This report highlights that the UK needs to manage water more effectively. Read more
